The spooky season is back in Taming.io! Pumpkins invade the map, Mimic Chests hide among the treasures, the legendary pets of the night return to the Darkness biome, and your house can finally get its own haunted decoration.

Pumpkins Everywhere

36 pumpkins are hidden on every map: 9 different kinds, 4 of each, in all 6 biomes. Smash them to earn:
- 1 Golden Apple (4 pumpkins of the map),
- 250 gold (8 pumpkins),
- 200 wood, 200 food or 200 stone (8 pumpkins each).

A smashed pumpkin grows back 2 minutes later, somewhere else on the map. Keep your eyes open!

Beware of the Mimic Chests

That Golden Apple chest looks a bit too friendly... During Halloween, each chest worth 2 Golden Apples has a 1% chance to turn into a Mimic when you break it!

A Mimic has 1,000 health, bites for 25 damage and chases you down. Defeat it to earn about 300 gold and some experience, and you still get the Golden Apples of the chest.

The Legendary Pets Are Back

The Black Cat, the Warg and the Unicorn are back in the Darkness biome! All three are Spectrum Tamons, and all three can be mounted.

- They only live in the Darkness biome, which lasts 8 minutes in every 56-minute cycle of the seasons.
- There, about 1 group of animals in 4 is one of them.
- They are hard to tame: a Black Cat is about 8 times harder to tame than a Wolf, a Warg or a Unicorn about 11 times!
- Their chances are tripled in the Darkness Chest of the Shop.
- The first tame of each one pays 100 Golden Apples in Challenges, in the Tamodex: up to 300 Golden Apples!

26 New Spooky Skins

The Halloween Chest is in the Shop: 900 Golden Apples for 3 Halloween cosmetics, up to Mythic rarity. This year, it brings 26 new Tamer skins:

The Scary Tamers

- White Noise (Rare)
- Hungry Eye, Scared Tamer and Possessed Cat (Epic)
- Behelit Tamer (Legendary)
- Stacked Tamers (Mythic)

The Skull Army

20 skull skins in 5 families: Skull, Fire Skull, Plant Skull, Water Skull and Ancient Skull. Each family climbs 4 ranks:

- Skull (Rare)
- Skull Guard (Epic)
- Skull Knight (Legendary)
- Skull Lord (Mythic)

The chest holds 255 Halloween cosmetics from this year and the previous ones: 142 skins, 71 accessories and 42 particles. Each cosmetic you win is Common (30%), Rare (25%), Epic (25%), Legendary (15%) or Mythic (5%). And remember: once unlocked, cosmetics stay that way!

A Haunted House

In your house, open the Shop and its Crates tab: the Halloween Crate gives you 3 different furnitures for 900 Golden Apples, among 49 new Halloween furnitures.

Dark tables, shelves, chairs and stools, Pumpkin Grin and Spectral Swirl carpets, cursed pillows, Black Cat and spider plushies, pumpkins, chemical pods, tamer skulls, cobwebs, a Necronomicon, a Spellbook, a Magic Wand, Traitor Knives, and plenty of sweets: Bat Candy, Bat Cookie, Candy Corn, Pumpkin Cookie and Pumpkin Candy!

Their rarities: 32 Common, 8 Rare, 6 Epic, 1 Legendary, the Potion Cauldron, and 2 Mythic: the Dark Coffin and the Ritual Circle.

Lights and Secrets

The Pumpkin Lantern, the Shadow Candle and the three Cursed Flame Candles can be switched on and off, with animated flames.

And some furniture hides a secret... About 1 in 25 Dark Coffins, Potion Cauldrons and Ritual Circles comes alive when you place it. Will your coffin open its lid?

Spooky Letters

For the season, your Mailbox gets 3 Halloween papers: the Pumpkin Letter, the Spectral Letter and the Black Letter. They replace the usual papers until the end of Halloween. And "Happy Halloween!" is now one of the sentences you can send.

A New Adventure

The Adventure has restarted with new gifts: open Profile > Adventure. Climb its 120 steps for Golden Apples, potions and insects, the Cursed Flame Candles and the Pumpkin Lantern for your house, the Candy Corn skin, the Halloween Flower accessory, the Dark Flowers particle, and even a Stoneskin Ointment.

Claim a star every day, and get one more for each Daily Challenge you complete.

Also in the Halloween Update

The Halloween update also brought some permanent additions:
- The Blowpipes and their Sleep Darts.
- Two new Masks: the Spectrum Mask and the Poison Mask.
- The new Settings, with their Backup tab.
- Reworked Leaderboards: one search bar for players and clans, Daily, Weekly and Monthly tabs, your own rank under the list, and up to 10,000 players ranked.

Balance Changes

- Bush Hat: gives +2 food instead of +1.
- Boar: 1,250 health points and a bit more damage.
- Water Tower: better heal targeting, and it attacks the enemies when there is nothing to heal.
- Ice Tower: 400 health at max level instead of 360.
- Ice type: deals double damage to Ancient pets.
- Fire Dragon: slightly less damage to buildings.
- Mimipot: shorter pull range.
- Capes: they now protect against the element of a pet AND its skills, whatever the element of the skill.
